From start to finish, everything ran so smoothly, and we’re so grateful for all the care and attention from both you and Audley Travel.
The itinerary was fantastic, and every detail was taken care of, from our private transfers and beautiful hotel stays, to the incredible guided experiences that were great fun.
Bangkok was a great place to start, and our city safari gave us a real insight into its culture and history.
The guides were excellent - especially in Bangkok, where our driver and guide were particularly helpful and made exploring so easy.
Kanchanaburi was both fascinating and moving, and the Death Railway tour was a real highlight.
Elephant Hills was an unforgettable experience. Hand-feeding the elephants in the jungle was something we’ll always cherish, and staying in both the tented camp and floating tents on the lake was an adventure in itself. The cookery lesson, which started with a trip to a local market to shop for fresh ingredients, was another brilliant experience.
The jungle walk to the caves was more challenging than expected, with rough terrain and a steep gradient, and the caves themselves were quite slippery underfoot. Thankfully, the guides were excellent, and we learned that a flatter route is in development, which may have suited us better.
After all the adventure, a week at Khao Lak Paradise Resort was the perfect way to round off the trip. It was wonderful to unwind, soak up the surroundings and reflect on all the incredible experiences we’d had along the way.
It was a wonderful holiday and we’re so glad we did it!
