Chorleywood Film Festival 2020
The Chorleywood Film Festival 2020 takes place this weekend. There are a series of great screenings and fun events running between Friday evening and Sunday afternoon. All based in Chorleywood War Memorial Hall.

Chorleywood Film Festival Programme
Friday, 8pm (doors open 7.30 pm)
Judy
This year’s festival will open with a screening of Judy (Cert. 12, 118 mins). Starring Renée Zellweger and directed by Rupert Goold.
Saturday
Mini Movie Makers & Young Film Makers Competitions from 12 pm
The Mini-Movie Makers and Young Film-Makers competitions run from 12 noon to approximately 3.15 pm. A chance to see all of this year’s entries in each of the four different age categories.
Announcing winners and presenting awards will be David Yates (director of Fantastic Beasts); Graham Ralph (BAFTA-winning animated film director and Martin Clarkson who is the MC for the afternoon.
And to cap this session off, there’s a mystery special screening!
Entry to this session is free with limited capacity at Chorleywood War Memorial Hall, we recommend arriving early to secure a seat.
Saturday evening’s screening 8 pm (doors open at 7.30 pm)
The Keeper
Saturday evening’s screening will be The Keeper. The true story of Bert Trautmann, a German soldier and prisoner of war. Against the backdrop of British post-war protect and bias, he becomes Goalkeeper at Manchester City. And a footballing icon. Starring David Kross and Freya Mavor.
Certificate 15, 120 minutes, directed by Marcus H Rosenmüller.
Sunday – doors open at 1.15 pm
Fancy dress parade – 1.30 pm
Doors will open at 1.15 pm and festival organisers invite parents and children to come as any film or cartoon character. There’s a prize for the best child’s costume.
Farmageddon – 2pm
The fancy dress parade is followed by the finale of this year’s film festival. This year, it is Farmageddon. Ever popular, this is the latest Shaun the Sheep movie, loved by all ages. Certificate U, 86 minutes.
Tickets
Tickets for each screening cost £6 for adults and £3 for children under 15 (subject to film certification). There’s light refreshments and a licenced bar.
Tickets for all the Festival’s feature films are sold online, in person at Chorleywood Bookshop. Remaining tickets, if available, will be on sale on the door.
