As voted for by travellers in Trip Advisor’s 2016 Travellers Choice Awards, Maui in Hawaii has been voted number one in their list of top island destinations.

In 4th place is Providenciales in the Caribbean Turks and Caicos.

In 6th place is Majorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands, a great destination for a spring break.
7th place to Mauritius, off the coast of Africa, a tropical paradise with lots of activities on offer.
In 8th place is Phuket, Thailand, a spectacular destination where beach and mountain are never far apart.
9th place to Bora Bora in the French Polynesian Society Islands, a beautiful and romantic destination with stacks of activities to choose from.
And 10th place goes to Fernando de Noronha, Brazil, one of the world’s top diving destinations. Visitors are restricted as the archipelago of Fernando de Noronha is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a delicate ecosystem.
