A new Chorleywood Film Club season!
We are delighted to announce that Ultimate Destinations will continue to sponsor the excellent Chorleywood Film Club for its 2018/19 season. In addition, it is wonderful news to hear that David Yates, the UK’s most successful film director at the Box Office (Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts….) is now Chorleywood Film Club’s patron.
This is a super local community organisation. It brings films combined with convivial company right here to the village. If you haven’t already bought tickets to one of their planned screenings, you’re missing a trick! And this, Chorleywood Film Club’s 5th seasons promises to be a good one. It opens with Steven Spielberg’s new drama “The Post” starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks.
The Post
Set in 1971 and based on true events, The Post tells the story of the unlikely partnership. It links The Washington Post’s Katharine Graham, the first female publisher of a major American newspaper and its’ editor Ben Bradlee. Together they race rival papers to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets.
When and Where
The Post screens at The War Memorial Hall on Common Road in Chorleywood on Friday 21st September.
Doors and bar open at 19.30 with the programme beginning at 20.00.
Tickets cost £6 each and are available from Chorleywood Bookshop and online. You can also buy tickets on the door if still available.
See you there!
